Maple glazed nuts

Low chemical, contains nuts, free of egg, dairy, gluten and soy.

Canola oil, for greasing
155 g (1 cup) cashews
125 ml ( cup) pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon golden syrup

Cooking time: 5 minutes


Serves: 6


Lightly oil a baking tray. Spread out the cashews in a single layer on the prepared tray.

Combine the maple syrup and golden syrup in a small saucepan. Heat until the mixture reaches 120°C (248°F) on a sugar thermometer, or until a blob of syrup forms a very firm but pliable ball that holds its shape at room temperature.


Working quickly, pour the syrup over the cashews on the tray, making sure all the nuts are coated. Allow to set. Break into pieces.
