Garlic Shrimp ( Prawns )
Gambas Al Ajillo

Serve with plenty of crusty bread.

2 lb/1 kg shrimp (prawns), peeled and deveined
8 garlic cloves, finely chopped
4 red chilies, seeded and chopped
Olive oil
Coarse salt


Serves: 8


1.Divide the garlic and chilies among 8 individual, flameproof earthenware or metal ramekins. To each ramekin add enough olive oil to just cover the shrimp that will be added. Heat over a high flame until the garlic turns golden brown.

2.Add the shrimp and remove from heat after 1 minute. Sprinkle with coarse salt and serve immediately.
