Smothered Burgers


4 hamburger patties
2 tbsp butter or olive oil
50 g sliced onion
30 g sliced mushrooms
Dash of Worcestershire sauce


Cook your burgers by your preferred method. While the burgers are cooking, melt the butter or heat the oil in a small, heavy frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the onion and mushrooms, and sauté until the onions are translucent. Add a dash of Worcestershire sauce, stir and spoon over burgers.

Yield:- 4 servings, each with just 2 grams of carbohydrate, at least a trace of fibre and 27 grams of protein
