Hot Roquefort Canapés

Ingredients

3 oz. (½ cup) cream cheese
1 oz. (¼ cup) Roquefort or other strong flavoured cheese, crumbled
2 oz. (½ cup) walnuts, finely chopped
¼ teaspoon dry mustard
½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Cracker biscuits or Melba toast

Method

Put the cream cheese in a small heat resistant bowl and cook uncovered on LOW for 30 seconds until the cheese is soft. Add the Roquefort cheese, 1 oz. (¼ cup) walnuts, mustard and sauce and blend well.


Spread the mixture on the cracker biscuits. Arrange a maximum of 10 canapés on a large paper plate and cook uncovered on MEDIUM for 1 minute until the cheese begins to melt. Garnish with the remaining walnuts and serve hot. 

On ovens without variable control with an output of 650 watts or more, mix all the filling ingredients together and cook for 20 seconds only.
